About
Mayhew is an animal welfare charity that works to support dogs, cats, and people in the community, both in London and internationally. The organisation provides rescue and adoption services for animals, and offers help with rehoming pets. Their services include Pet Refuge, which cares for pets whose owners are experiencing a crisis, and TheraPaws, an Animal Assisted Intervention programme. Mayhew also operates a vet clinic offering services such as neutering, vaccinations, microchipping, and flea and worm control. Outreach and individual support are provided within communities. Internationally, Mayhew has projects in Afghanistan and Georgia focusing on managing free-roaming dog populations and providing veterinary care. The charity relies on donations and volunteers, including fundraising volunteers and foster carers for dogs and cats.
