About
Islington Foodbank aims to help local people in crisis within the Islington borough by providing emergency food. The organisation, established in 2011, operates an appointments-based system for voucher redemption, a practice implemented since August 2021 to ensure the safety of volunteers and clients. Islington Foodbank relies on financial donations from supporters to cover its operational costs. The foodbank also engages with referral agencies and welcomes comments and complaints from those who use its services and volunteers.
