About
Hackney Foodbank is an independent charity and member of the Trussell Trust Foodbank Network. It works towards a hunger-free Hackney by providing emergency food parcels to people in crisis or trapped in poverty. The organisation also offers caseworker support, helping individuals address root causes of poverty by accessing benefits, grants for furniture and fuel, and referrals for debt support. Since 2012, it has supported local people in Hackney, distributing over 864,632kg of food and household items. The food bank relies on the local community, working with partners and community organisations. It seeks volunteers and donations.
