Based in the London Borough of Newham, it aims to alleviate food poverty and develop a sustainable food business. The organisation provides training, capacity building, and employment opportunities for East London residents. It procures surplus food and redistributes it to charities and community organisations across East London. Services also include Workplace Healthy, delivering fresh fruit to employers, and Healthy Schools, supporting the National School Fruit scheme. Community Food Enterprise strives to ensure access to safe, nutritious, affordable, and culturally acceptable food, promoting better diet, lifestyle, and health through education and empowerment.
